Leavell College

A COMMUNITY OF MENTORS
Leavell College provides for the educational needs of those called into ministry as both traditional and non-traditional students. Our programs range from the baccalaureate level to non-credit certificates.

After two years of careful examination, much discussion, and concentrated prayer, the Leavell College faculty has revised its curriculum.

Some highlights of the new curriculum include:

  • Revision of four current degrees -- BA in Christian Ministry, BA in Music with an emphasis in Worship; AA in Christian MInistry, AA in Music
  • Development of three new degrees -- BA in Biblical Studies, BA in Psychology/Counseling, AA in Biblical Studies
  • Revision of the General Education Core, including new courses such as "Critical Thinking" and "Intro to Literature"
  • Developing a "true" Christian Foundation Core, consistent in all BA degrees. A slightly modified core is consistent in all AA degrees. All Leavell College students will receive a strong foundation upon which to build regardless of the major area of study.
  • Revision of minors, including the addition of a new minor in Biblical Languages
  • Tailored to help the student receive the greatest advantages in the Accelerated MDiv

These degrees will provide the foundation to aid our students in their ministries and in their preparation for graduate work.

A Word from our Dean

Our goals at Leavell College are two-fold: to equip our students for ministry and to prepare them for further study at the graduate level. Involved in this preparation is a continued emphasis upon one's personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ministry cannot be effective unless our lives are firmly established upon Christ. Our world needs men and women who have a heart for God. Know that we as a faculty are praying for you and your ministry. Please stop by and let us know how we can better serve you.
